The origin of the company name, Jiyusha

Since the very beginnings, Mother Earth has nurtured humankind, yet it is clearly evident to everyone that the ways in which we interact with nature, society, and each other are taking us in the direction of ruin. Civilized entirely by humans, modern society is full of exhausted people. Their invigoration requires a spring of fresh water from the ground, not a store of water set aside.

Imagine how wonderful it would be if this gushing spring could encourage us to dig our own wells and realize that we humans possess profound, unimaginable wisdom. The name for the company Jiyusha—a combination of the kanji characters 地湧 (jiyu, literally meaning ground spring) and 社 (sha, or company)—was given in hopes that it would accurately represent such a picture.
